Studio Seva Policies, terms, & conditions

  1. Must be 18 or older to attend Circus/Pole classes at Studio Seva. Ages 13 and up are welcome in Yoga classes.

  2. Private Circus training is available to ages 16 and up.

  3. We are only open during class hours. We do not have office or reception hours. If you require further information, please call or text 260-760-4864.

  4. If you are visiting the studio, please do not climb on or hang from the circus apparatus. If you are taking a circus class, please do not climb on or use the apparatus until directed by the instructor.

  5. All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable. Individual memberships cannot be shared. Packages are shareable.

  6. Every effort is made to hold class on time, as scheduled however, the schedule is subject to change without prior notice. Please check the online schedule for the most up-to-date schedule.

  7. Studio Seva is not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings. We provide lockers for temporary storage of items while you are in class. Lockers should be cleaned out as you leave; we do not allow overnight storage or long term storage of yoga mats, props, or any other gear or clothing. Any belongings left behind are donated after 30 days.

  8. We do not sell drinks or snacks at the studio; we do not have a trash can for such items; these items should be disposed of outdoors in the trash can. Do not dispose of food containers, drink containers, or fruit peels etc. in our trash cans reserved for tissues and paper towels.

  9. Shoes should be removed once inside the door and left at the front door. We do not allow shoes anywhere in the practice spaces or lounge. If you have a gym bag that you can place your shoes in, that is fine. We do not allow loose shoes beyond the front door.

  10. Weights classes shoe policy: non-street shoes are welcome. Please do not wear shoes into weights class off the street, bring a clean pair to change into.

  11. If you stop in and we are in class, please text, and we'll contact you as soon as class gets out. Please do not disrupt the class for information.

  12. Be on time. We do not allow late entry. If you anticipate being more than two or three minutes late, please cancel your reservation and attend another class. Disrupting a class already in session is discourteous and unsafe.

  13. Studio Seva reserves the right to refuse entry and service.

  14. All purchases of services and products are final. We do not offer refunds; no need to ask, the answer will be no.

  15. Yoga and Circus classes are sold separately. Yoga class passes and packages cannot be transferred to the Circus program, and Circus class passes and packages cannot be transferred to the Yoga program.

  16. In attending classes at Studio Seva, you agree that neither you, your heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Studio Seva or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

  17. Terms, Conditions, and Fees are subject to change with proper notification.

  18. It is the responsibility of the student to notify teachers of any previous injury, illness, or conditions that may impact their practice.

  19. Unpaid classes or membership payments will be back-charged.

  20. Please arrive 5 minutes prior to class if you are new to the studio and have not pre-registered online. We prefer you preregister online before attending classes.

  21. Certain classes require pre-registration or will offer special instructions; please read the special instructions for each class as you register.

  22. If you have never been to the studio, please take the time before arriving to create your online account and client profile. Once you complete your profile and sign the online waiver, you can sign up for classes. You can pay for your class online, or purchase your packages/memberships/drop-ins in the studio (certain classes require pre-payment online).

  23. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class if paying in studio. 

  24. Late arrivals will not be accepted into the class without payment or client setup. 

CLASS CANCELLATIONS & BOOKING ETIQUETTE

  1. Class cancellations must be made 1 hour prior to the start of a reserved class. This will give us sufficient time to notify our waiting list. If you do not attend or cancel within 1 hour of start time, you will be fully charged for the class. Canceled classes will be returned to your account for future use; we do not offer refunds for cancellations.

  2. Cancellations must be made through our online reservation system or smartphone app for Apple or Android devices. Cancellations will not be accepted via e-mail or phone.

  3. Workshops can be fully refunded if canceled 24 hours after purchase. After this time, you will be fully charged for the workshop.

  4. Please cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend to make your space available to others.

  5. If you are on a waitlist and moved into the class roster, you will be notified via email. and text. Double check your notifications settings to ensure you are receiving class notifications.

PRIVATE training

  1. Must be age 16 or older.

  2. Shoes are left at the front door.

  3. Bring your own water. We do not provide water bottles.

  4. If training on the pole, bring a pair of socks and wear layers: sweats or joggers over shorts.

  5. If training on the silks, socks are not recommended. Wear leggings and a fitted shirt that covers the abdomen.

  6. Arrive a few minutes early to complete payment, if this step has not been completed online, and to sign waivers for each person. Minors under the age of 18 require a guardian to sign a waiver on his/her behalf. Please visit our Private Training menu tab to print off a waiver to complete beforehand.

  7. No jewelry (including rings, earrings, belly rings, bracelets, etc), zippers, or long fingernails.

  8. Motion sickness is common in these practices, if you are prone to vertigo or extreme motion sickness this practice might not be suitable for you. Some people find that mints or ginger candy helps with motion sickness. Drinking plenty of water before your session will prevent motion sickness.

  9. Submit a private training request online; you will receive an email of confirmation once your request has been approved.

  10. Private session fees are due in full before session begins.

  11. BE ON TIME. This is a zero tolerance policy. Clients later than 5 minutes will result in cancellation without refund.

  12. Private session packages are to be used within 3 months of purchase date.

  13. If you are unable to make your private session, please provide 24 hours notice. Late cancellations will be subject to charge.

CIRCUS CLASSES 

  1. Weekly classes: must be age 18 or older.

  2. Leave your shoes at the door.

  3. Do not be late. Warm-ups are a very important part of the circus practice and cannot be missed. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will not be permitted to join class.

  4. Gear to bring: No mat required. Safety mats are provided. Bring a water bottle. Bring a notebook and phone to record your sequences and progress; this will be helpful for open circus practice.

  5. Pre-registration is required. Use our online registration system to reserve your spot in class.

  6. Cancel within 1 hour before class starts to avoid being charged for the class. If you cancel in reasonable time, your account will not be charged for the visit. The drop in or class package will be held in your account for future use.

  7. No long fingernails, jewelry, zippers, or sharp objects.

  8. If you are on the waitlist, you will receive a text and email notification if you get bumped into class. If you do not get bumped up from the waitlist, your pass will go back into your account for later use. If you are bumped into class from the waitlist and can’t make it, you must cancel your reservation, otherwise the pass will be used for no-show.

  9. Absolutely no teaching of other students is permitted; this includes: offering advice, tips, assistance (physically or verbally), teaching over the instructor, and any other way you can imagine trying to offer “help.” You will be asked to leave the class if you violate this policy.

  10. Circus classes are not included in yoga packages and memberships. Circus passes and packages cannot be “applied” or switched to Yoga passes or packages. We offer an Unlimited Yoga and Circus membership that does include all classes at Studio Seva.

YOGA

  1. Weekly Yoga classes: must be age 13 or older.

  2. Leave your shoes at the door.

  3. Gear to bring: mat, towel, and water bottle. We have extra mats free to use if you don’t own a mat.

  4. No shoes or socks.

  5. Certain Yoga classes require pre-registration online through our online registration software. Please read the special instructions for each class as you register.

  6. Please make sure to turn off cell phones before entering the practice area. Better yet, leave them in your car along with smart watches and any other devices that are disruptive.

  7. If you need to leave class early, let the teacher know, and he/she will assist you in leaving without disrupting the class. Please do not make this a habit. There are many class times available to suit different schedules.

  8. If you are running late to class, please be courteous of others and your own safety and try for another time.

  9. Yoga class passes and memberships do not include any of the Circus classes. Yoga passes and packages cannot be “applied” or switched to Circus passes or packages. We offer an Unlimited Yoga and Circus membership that does include all classes at Studio Seva.

CLASS PACKAGES

  1. "Yoga" class packs may be used for yoga classes only (does not include circus classes).

  2. "Circus" class packs may only be used for circus classes (does not include Yoga classes).

  3. Any class packages (Circus or Yoga) expire a year after the purchase date.

  4. Class packs are non-refundable, but we can transfer them to someone else to use.

MEMBERSHIPS

  1. Our memberships are no-contract Memberships, but they do automatically renew monthly. Membership fees will be automatically charged to your credit card or bank account. The original purchase date is the renewal date. These memberships will continue to process until written request for cancellation is received. Phone call, face-to-face, and voice mail cancellations will not be accepted. Text or email your request to cancel your membership.

  2. If you need to update or change your billing method, please update your online account right away, or updated in studio as soon as possible.

  3. To cancel, please text or email Joni with at least 7 days notice of next scheduled charge date. If you notify of cancelation with less than a 7 day notice, refunds will not be issued for the next month's payment. Membership cancellations must be submitted by text or email. Unfortunately, our scheduling software does not support client cancellation online.

  4. If you cancel a membership, you will lose your existing rate.

  5. We reserve the right to change grandfathered rates at any time with proper notice in writing.

  6. Pro-rated amounts will not be refunded.

  7. If your monthly auto-payment fails for any reason, then your membership may be cancelled and you may be assessed a fee. Any grandfathered rates will be lost.

  8. Members will be back-charged for any and all missing or unpaid membership payments. It’s very easy to cancel your membership, simply text or email!

  9. If you have a negative balance on your account due to failed payments, you will not be able to register for classes until the back fees are paid in full. It’s very easy to cancel your membership, simply text or email!

  10. Memberships cannot be paused; they can be canceled at any time.

GIFT CARDS 

  1. Gift cards can be purchased online.

  2. Gift cards can be printed off from your own home.

  3. Gift cards can be purchased and sent electronically through our online store.

  4. Gift cards are non refundable and not redeemable for cash.

TEACHER TRAINING PROGRAM

  1. Payment plans must be established (automatic deductions) prior to training.

  2. Payment in full is expected if not setting up a payment plan.

  3. If in arrears for payment, training will be subject to suspension and possible termination.

  4. Training fees are non-refundable, not-transferable, and not pro-rated.

  5. If trainee fails to complete the training requirements, refunds will not be given.

  6. Training must be completed within the set time frame; extensions will not be offered.
