Certified Yoga Teacher Training
Required: 8, two-hour personal training sessions
$120 per each teacher training session (each training session will be 2 hours)
These personal training sessions are one-on-one with your instructor and will cover assigned readings and discussion topics.
Must schedule 8 personal training sessions in total in order to receive certificate. The 8 required sessions can be scheduled over any length of time, at your convenience.
Personal teacher training sessions are scheduled on Fridays from 8 am to 5pm. The training session can be scheduled and purchased online.
Required: 4, two-hour training workshops
$50 per each workshop (each workshop will be two hours)
Group workshop setting to cover alignment, props, adjustments, and practice teaching. Workshops are for teachers in training, but all are welcome to attend.
Must attend at least 4 workshops in total in order to receive certificate.
Workshops are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday afternoons/evenings. See online schedule for workshop dates and times.

A composition notebook for your pose workbook and journal.
Required: assist and observe classes
Must observe at least 5 Yoga classes. Can be any mat based Yoga class. Does not have to be at Studio Seva, but can easily be arranged here. Observing classes are helpful to watch students and teachers working together in the classroom. Take notes and set aside some time after class to ask the teacher questions.
Must assist at least 3 Yoga classes. Can be any mat based Yoga class. These should be completed at Studio Seva. Assisting a class consists of assisting the teacher in prop placement and distribution, adjustments, and offering demonstrations.
When observing or assisting classes, please pre-arrange with the instructor at least 24 hours in advance.
At home study:
You will be required to devote adequate at home study time to this program. Reading, self-practice, and practice teaching are important to become a safe and confident Yoga teacher. Please come to planned meetings and workshops fully prepared with questions and assigned readings completed.
Weekly Class attendance is required: class packages and memberships are offered at an affordable rate.
Practicing at least two weekly classes at the studio is recommended. Please attend any class lead by any Studio Seva instructor. Your private training sessions will include discussion and questions about these classes.

If you are interested in discussing the training program in further detail, submit an appointment request here to set up an information meeting. We can discuss the program, curriculum, timeline, and questions in a brief meeting either via phone or in person.
Optional: advanced Master level training
Advanced training would include deeper discussion and study in Ayurveda, Chakras, Meditation, Alignment and prop usage, pre-natal and other therapeutic approaches of Yoga.
To receive an advanced Master Teacher’s Certification, an additional 8 personal training sessions are required with 3 additional workshops to be completed.
These master level trainings can be completed anytime after completing your foundational Yoga Teacher’s Certification.
Additional text books are required.
Optional: specialized trainings
Requires two personal training sessions in each topic (Rope Wall or Aerial Yoga). Must already be a certified Yoga teacher or currently earning your certification.

Continuing Your education:
Schedule a personal private session with your instructor as you feel you need inspiration or as you discover topics of interest that you want to learn more about. As a Yoga teacher it is important to constantly study and grow, not only in your personal practice, but in your knowledge of the body and the philosophies of Yoga.
